The intercultural sound of MEGITZA is deeply rooted in her Highlander-Roma heritage. Born in Zakopane (Poland), at the age of 16 Megitza emigrated to the US (Chicago) on her own where her dream of making music came true.
Critics describe her music as “music for the new millennium” seeking in it influences of the Balkan, Roma, Highlander, Latin, ethno – jazz, reggae, rock music – but it is not just the wide range of musical genres that sets Megitza apart from other entertainers but the energy and feeling her band puts into every performance that invariably remain as the compositional compass of Megitza.

The Dolina Polish Folk Dancers have been entertaining audiences locally in the Twin Cities, nationally, and internationally for more than 60 years. Dolina shares the rich culture and character of Poland through traditional footwork, lively choreography, and vibrant, authentic costumes. Performances typically include singing and live music and range from one dance for a private party to a full concert. For more information, view their website at http://www.dolina.org/.
The Adam Mickiewicz Polish Saturday School was established over 20 years ago. It is run by volunteers whose desire is to make learning Polish language, history and culture fun and relevant to the present generation.
UVB is a Ukrainian roots and Zabava (wedding and event) band. They play both the folk and modern music of ethnic Ukrainians everywhere, as well as music from Ukraine’s various ethnic communities.
