The Twin Cities Polish Festival is pleased to have Anna D. Jaroszyńska-Kirchmann, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of History and Chair, Department of History, Eastern Connecticut State University, was born in Lublin, Poland, and studied at the University of Minnesota. She is a Past President of Polish American Historical Association (PAHA), and an Editor-in-Chief of Polish American Studies, a scholarly journal of PAHA.
She is an author of books and articles on the history of American Polonia, including The Exile Mission: The Polish Political Diaspora and Polish Americans, 1939-1956 (Ohio University Press, 2004); (associate editor) The Polish American Encyclopedia (McFarland, 2011); Letters from Readers in Polish American Press: A Corner for Everybody, 1902-1969 (Lexington Books, 2014); The Polish Hearst: Ameryka-Echo and the Public Role of the Immigrant Press (University of Illinois Press, 2015).
