Chopin Concerts – Twin Cities Polish Festival

The Twin Cities Polish Festival is very appreciative of our festival sponsors and a special appreciation goes out to Kieran Wells of Wells Pianos (St. Paul) who is organizing the event and Bonnie & William Frels who are sponsoring the Chopin Celebration Concert at the festival this year. The musicians from past festivals and the upcoming one are a combination of gifted, talented artists who deliver incredible musical performances for your listening pleasure.

The concerts will begin at 1:00 pm each day at the St. Anthony Main Theatre.

Many, many thanks go to Kieran for providing the festival with the ability to present Chopin and other Polish composers, rendering these compositions at their finest, by incredible talented performers.

The highlight of the 2013 Chopin Celebration Concert is a 13 year old piano prodigy from St. Louis. Michael Lu is a prize winner of national and international piano competitions, including the Azur International Piano Competition in France and the National Piano Competition in China. He has performed with various renowned orchestras. Michael started playing at 5, and comes from a non-musical family. Michael was the youngest competitor at the Orchestre regional de Cannes, where he received outstanding ovations for his performance. Michael will play for the Twin Cities Polish Festival before beginning his studies at the Colburn Young Artists Academy in September.
