Sign up by August 6 for the Polish Baking Contest!
Love to bake? Showcase your baking skills at the Konkurs Pieczenia – Polish Baking Contest — an event that is part of the Twin Cities Polish Festival. The baking contest is open to everyone. You don’t have to be Polish or live in Minnesota to enter. Mail-in registration for entries must be postmarked by Tuesday, August 6, but late entries can be considered also.
Bakers will compete in three categories: Breads and Rolls, Cakes and Tortes, and Pastries. Contestants can enter all three categories but only one entry per category.
Entries must be delivered between 10 am and noon on Saturday, August 10, to Festival Headquarters at Riverplace. You may also submit your recipe and/or a story of how the food relates to your family. Judging takes place Saturday afternoon and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category will be announced on Sunday on the Cultural Stage.
